Education
Education is a strong central focus here in the Northland, so it’s no surprise that our students achieve some of the highest scores on state assessments. With many public and private schools, the Northland is a great place for students to rise to their full potential.
New this year is The Early Childhood Special Education center in the North Kansas City School District. This center enhances optimal functioning and improves the quality of life for each child from 3 through 5 years of age by providing a full continuum of comprehensive integrated services that match the individual needs of the students.
The Northland also provides multiple education facilities to help our students learn in unique ways. Some of these programs include the Northland Career Center, the Northland Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) and Park Hill Professional Studies. These programs provide hands-on opportunities and allow students to participate and learn in professional environments.
